Obama wants to stick it to the banks that were helped with bailout money. This “financial crisis responsibility fee” is his most transparently Marxist move yet. On the surface it is touted as “fairness”, as if Obama still hasn’t learned what most kids learn by age 8- life isn’t fair. But underneath the “make ‘em pay” play is the true insidiousness of the spike end of Obama’s merciless whip. This is a class-war move. Obama hasn’t needed to play the race card very often as he plays the trump card: Class War. He’s a master of telling the lazy and the poor that they can have some of the rewards of the rich. What can we learn from this? Under achieving is where it’s at Jack. Keep your head down, sleep in, smoke pot and reap the rewards of the disgusting fat cats. Obama, your robe is showing.
Our troops keep us safe from those would do us harm. They toil through the cold, the heat and hostile environments so that we can enjoy what America has to offer. They suffer so that we can drive in our cars to the convenience store and buy Mountain Dew when we are thirsty. They endure violence, strife and personal sacrifice so we can sit on couches and play XBOX 360. They absolutely reign.
Some benign remarks Reid made during the 2008 election have surfaced in a recent book. Reid described Obama as a “light-skinned man” and as one “with no Negro dialect.” Regardless of whether Reid is a racist, it is a titanic leap to equate the statements with racism. Descriptors are hardly racist. But in a political landscape where ‘political correctness’ sparks straw-donkey-witch-hunts, the Right leadership has copped a play from the liberal playbook: the race card. Michael Steele and the right-winged pundits have tossed aside integrity in exchange for body-blows. Honor in battle is a dubious thing and this is war. The Democrat elites are disintegrating, and any fuel thrown on the fire works to the right’s advantage. War is a dirty business son - but sides have been chosen. On the bright side, Reid is finally speaking some truth: Obama is indeed light-skinned, relatively speaking.
Political correctness has robbed America of the descriptor, both relative and comparative. Political correctness is the self-chain set of the suicidal, the irrational in the face of the inevitable. Political correctness is the self-prohibitive march toward doom, the steadfast formation of the red coats as the rebels hid behind rocks and trees.
Surpisingly, Obama issued a statement saying he accepted Reid’s subsequent apology and considered the matter closed. Obama should have responded “Heck, I am light-skinned. No offense taken.” That would have been too Presidential, too common sense, too real for such a narcissus. Instead Obama took mercy on the recently bedraggled Reid, and extended his royal benevolence. Obama’s “apology accepted” sounds ominously like “heads will roll.”
