Obama’s administration has taken more of our liberties than Jimmy Carter ever dreamed of. The People have lost much so far: Auto Industry, Finance Industry, Insurance Industry, Health Care Industry, and even the facade of Capitalism. All the People have gotten in return for liberties lost? Bumper stickers, higher taxes, lower quality of life, high unemployment, devalued dollars and Scott Brown, the token RINO.

Underachieving is the new success paradigm. You should sleep in tomorrow.

The very day Obama signs ObamaCare, the rabid left is jostling to be next in Obama’s line. Each special interest group is leaning on Obama hard- it’s time to collect some favors. What comes next? Is it Immigration or Gay Marriage? We sure as heck know it’s not going to be THE ECONOMY. The Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy has been popping up quite a bit recently. Many advocates of gays serving in the military feel that policy itself is discriminatory. It seems neither Obama nor the Republicans see the issue as a political winner. The military has stepped up to intercept the issue and has started a year-long focus group to study possible changes to the policy.

Sometimes anger is the appropriate response. Americans are angrier than normal at this moment. Some of the anger is justified. Some of the anger is hype. Some of the anger is because Obama hasn’t gone far enough in his quest to sink our country. Democrats are beaming and strutting around. Republicans are shouting outrage! Democrats are ducking for cover and playing the class war card AGAIN. Republicans? They are getting ready to pounce on the Dems by playing the class war card AGAIN.

Dems play the poor and Repubs play the rich and the poor and MOSTLY the middle class. The entire spectacle is designed to take power from the people. We are the pollen-laden bees, and the Government WANTS THAT HONEY! Both parties are actors in the show. They pretend to be opposites as to create entertainment tension, kind of like Rebecca did to Sam in Cheers. Sure they squawked a lot, but in the end they each wanted the same thing. ~~The bar!!~~ Power!!

Here Comes the Flood

So ObamaCare has passed. It’s surreal. This is like a flashback in a post-apocalyptic film, the slow-motion-collapse-before-the-bomb moment where it’s still possible to deny what is happening.

One doesn’t need logic to understand “slippery slope” – all that is needed is any landslide scene in a RoadRunner cartoon. Sadly this bill overtly leeches so much power, it expands to more than a “slippery slope” and encompasses hitting the bottom in a broken heap. It’s the entire experience of “slippery slope” with the added bonus of end-game: disaster.

“The United States Congress finally declared that America’s workers and America’s families and small businesses deserve the security of knowing that here in this country neither illness nor accident should endanger the dreams they worked a lifetime to achieve,” Obama said. There is something fundamentally insidious about that sentence. Like “Here is the gun I am going to shoot you with.”

With ObamaCare we get more government red-tape, LESS bang for our buck, and rationed care. What’s next? We acknowledge and move on accordingly. The next few days may be full of show and clamor, but ‘change’ has been a long time comin’. Overtly with Obama’s election, and covertly with Dr. Spock. (Aw come one. Admit it. Tinfoil-hat jokes aside, you always knew there was something wrong with the entire Dr. Spock schtick. Right?) And next comes November 2010. (Okay, who am I fooling? We are doomed.)

Crowder highlights the utter lack of progress the government has made toward rebuilding the World Trade Center. Eight years later and the site is still a pit. The Empire State building took 13 months to build. 13 months?! Eight years after 9/11 and we STILL haven’t gotten anything re-built? What gives? The efficient machine known as the United States Government sure does know how to take their time.

This week Obama said he would pass ObamaCare if it KILLS him. Now I’m torn. But seriously folks, who wants to turn their child’s cancer treatment (if it’s even approved) over to the same outfit that can’t even construct a building?
