I’m a Race Car Driver and You Got Me In the Red
Timeline: Bush spent a LOT of money. People got angry. Obama was elected and spent even more money. People got angrier. Tea Parties materialized. The Left mocked the Tea Parties. About-face the Left began to praise the Tea Party- the Democrat-fanned-faux-party-trojan-horse aggregate, NOT the event(s).
The Tea Parties allowed angry conservatives to voice their frustrations, and more importantly to put faces to OTHER people who felt the same, despite what CNN told them. Angry conservatives can raise a lot of Cain, especially when they are tired of funding an agenda that is anti-THEM. See the Founding Fathers. But the Tea Party?? As in a third-party?? What part of ‘Ross Perot’ don’t these ‘conservatives’ understand? Third party ushered in Clinton. What part of ‘Huckabee’ don’t these ‘conservatives’ understand? Splitting the Repubs ushered in Obama. The point of the Tea Parties wasn’t to split the field 30-20-50, it was to combat wasteful government/distant representatives/back-room deals/socialist baloney, not weaken the only opposition to such. If the ‘Tea Party’ posed ANY threat whatsoever to the Dems, would CNN be praising it’s ‘grass-roots of raw power?’
The Sleeping Giant has been awakened, but it is too angry to see/think straight. Focus. Rally. Think. ‘Tea Party’ is folly. ‘Tea Party’ is a foil. ‘Tea Party’ is the sugar in Jim Jones’ Kool-Aid.
Whoa! OurCountry is angry today… Well, it probably should be…and yet, it’s not like the mad hatters at all of these have the first idea how to get anyone elected…and it’s not like the Republicans have been forgiven two decades of their sins by the electorate…and it’s not like the Democrats are now on the outs. It’s more like the whole bunch are rotten and there’s no one leader out there–not at this time, anyway–who’s capable of assembling a genuine governing coalition. And so, in the mean meantime, let the hatters do what hatters do. Just sayin…
p.s. great vid! Who did it?
